Book your transfer to Málaga AirportSierra Blanca and Nagüeles are the hillside above the Golden Mile, on the lower slopes of La Concha. The coast is below, the mountain above, and in between are some of the most private addresses in Marbella: large villas on large plots, most of them behind a barrier, a gatehouse or at least a remote-controlled gate.
Those who arrive here are usually heading for a private house: owners, families renting a villa for a week or two, groups gathering for a celebration. What they share is a destination that no satnav reads well, because internal roads are private, numbering is irregular and one development often looks like the next.
The reward for the climb is the view over the coast, and on a clear day across the strait. The price of it is a steep, winding final stretch, which is why the details of the booking matter more here than almost anywhere else.
Where we drop you in Sierra Blanca and Nagüeles
- Sierra Blanca
- The gated area climbing from the Golden Mile towards La Concha, with security at the entrance. The driver needs the villa name or number and the name under which the booking is registered at the gate.
- The Nagüeles valley
- The valley running up from Nagüeles beach, with villas on both slopes and roads that switch back on themselves. Many houses are known by name rather than number.
- Cascada de Camoján
- A development of villas on the slopes near Sierra Blanca, with its own controlled access. Give the entrance and a phone number that can open the gate.
- The lower slopes above the boulevard
- The developments just above the mountain side of the Golden Mile, with easier roads and apartment complexes as well as villas. Closest to the beach and the town.
From Málaga Airport to Sierra Blanca and Nagüeles
You come out through the arrivals hall on the ground floor of Terminal 3, where your driver waits with a name sign. Tap “I have landed” in your booking once you are on the ground and he messages you as he sets off.
The drive heads west along the coast. There is a free road, the A-7, which runs through the towns, and the AP-7 toll motorway behind it; the driver picks one on the day according to traffic, and the price agreed when you booked is the same either way. Both bring you to the Golden Mile, and from there the last part is a climb.
That climb is where the time goes: tight bends, private roads and a gate to open at the top. Having the access details ready in the booking makes the difference between driving straight in and waiting at the barrier.
Worth knowing before you travel
Tell the gate you are coming
Let the owner, the agency or the security team know the arrival day and the name on the booking. A driver with no name on the gate list is often kept waiting.
Include a phone that opens the gate
For villas with their own gate, add a number for whoever can open it, as well as your own mobile.
Large vehicles and steep roads
Some internal roads are narrow, with sharp turns and steep ramps. For a large group, ask us on WhatsApp before booking which vehicle fits the access.
Child seats cost nothing
Ask for them when booking, with the children's ages, and the driver brings them fitted.
Night arrivals and unlit roads
Many hillside roads have little lighting. For late flights, the exact villa name or a map pin saves searching in the dark.
Questions people ask
Is the price per person or per car?
Per car. The price you see covers the whole vehicle, your luggage and any tolls.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from the link to your booking: free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up. We refund the amount to the same card. With less time there is no refund. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or don't show up, the deposit is not refunded and the rest of the fare is charged to the card you booked with.
Do you have child seats?
Yes. Add them when you book and we assign a driver who carries them, at no extra cost.
Can the car drive up to the villa door?
In most cases, yes, once security or the owner lets the car in. If a road is too narrow or steep for the vehicle, the driver stops at the nearest safe point and helps with the luggage.
What should I write in the address for a villa in Sierra Blanca?
The development, the villa name or number, the entrance you use and the name the booking is under at the gate. A map pin in the notes helps too, because internal roads are rarely numbered in order.
We are a large group. Will a minibus manage the hill?
Most roads are fine, but a few are tight. Write the full address and any access notes when you book; if you are unsure about a large vehicle, ask us on WhatsApp first.
