Book your transfer to Málaga AirportBook your transfer in Golden Mile
For a Golden Mile transfer, enter the full hotel or complex name and address. If there are several entrances, specify the reception or entrance where you want to meet your driver.
For an airport departure, book the pickup time at your accommodation, not your flight's departure time. Add the address and access instructions for the driver.
Add suitcases and child seats when booking. Mention golf clubs, pushchairs or bulky luggage in the notes so we can check that they fit your chosen vehicle.
Book your transfer to Málaga AirportThe Golden Mile is not a village but a road: the boulevard that runs west from Marbella town centre to Puerto Banús. On the sea side stand beach hotels and apartment complexes set in gardens; on the mountain side, gated developments climb towards Sierra Blanca and Nagüeles, with La Concha behind them.
People arriving here usually know exactly where they are going: a hotel booked months ahead, a family apartment by the beach, a villa lent by friends. The address is rarely the problem. The entrance is, because along the boulevard the gates look alike and many complexes have more than one.
It is also the most central of the Marbella addresses: close to the old town in one direction and to Puerto Banús in the other, so the same car that brings you from the airport can easily do the evening run into either.
Where we drop you on the Golden Mile
- The sea side of the boulevard
- Beach hotels and apartment complexes between the road and the sea, with gardens that run down to the sand. Each has its own drive or reception entrance; give the name of the complex, not just the boulevard.
- The mountain side of the boulevard
- Gated developments on the inland side, many with a gatehouse. From the airport this side is reached by turning around at a roundabout, so say which side you are on.
- The eastern end, near the mosque
- Where the Golden Mile meets the edge of Marbella town, around the mosque and the first beach complexes. Close enough to walk into the centre.
- Nagüeles beach
- The middle stretch of the Golden Mile, where the beach and the streets behind it take the name of the Nagüeles valley above. Several beach clubs and complexes share the same access lanes.
- The western end, towards Puerto Banús
- The last part of the boulevard before the marina, around the mouth of the Río Verde. In summer the roundabouts at this end are the slowest part of the journey.
From Málaga Airport to the Golden Mile
All scheduled flights at Málaga come out through the same arrivals hall, on the ground floor of Terminal 3. Your driver waits in the hall with a name sign; tap “I have landed” in your booking when the plane is on the ground and he messages you as he sets off.
The road west has two options: the free A-7, which follows the coast through the towns, and the AP-7 toll motorway behind them. For the Golden Mile the toll road avoids Fuengirola and the Marbella junctions in summer, but it rejoins the coast before the end, so the final stretch is always along the boulevard.
Which road to take is the driver's decision on the day. The price was fixed when you booked, so there is nothing extra to pay if he takes the toll road.
Worth knowing before you travel
Name the complex and the entrance
Many hotels and developments have a main entrance, a service entrance and a beach access. Write which one you want, so the driver does not wait at the wrong gate.
Say which side of the boulevard
Crossing from one side to the other is only possible at certain points. A wrong guess means carrying on to the next roundabout and coming back.
Child seats on request, at no cost
Ask for them when you book, with the children's ages. They are free, and the driver brings the right sizes with him.
Plan the flight home with margin
In July and August the boulevard and the roundabouts near Puerto Banús fill up in the afternoon. For the return, book the pickup with time to spare.
Questions people ask
Is the price per person or per car?
Per car. The price you see covers the whole vehicle, your luggage and any tolls.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from the link to your booking: free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up. We refund the amount to the same card. With less time there is no refund. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or don't show up, the deposit is not refunded and the rest of the fare is charged to the card you booked with.
Do you have child seats?
Yes. Add them when you book and we assign a driver who carries them, at no extra cost.
Our hotel is on the Golden Mile. Should we book Marbella or the Golden Mile?
Book the Golden Mile: it covers the boulevard between the centre and Puerto Banús, on both sides of the road. Put the name of the hotel or complex in the address and we know where to go.
Will the driver come into the hotel grounds?
Where the hotel allows it, the car pulls up at reception. Some complexes only let vehicles as far as the gate or a drop-off area; in that case the driver stops there and helps with the luggage.
Can we also book a car for dinner in Puerto Banús or the old town?
For an evening out there is our chauffeur by the hour, quoted separately: the car takes you to dinner, waits and brings you back.
