Book your transfer in Los Monteros

For a Los Monteros transfer, give the hotel, villa or development name and full address. Identify the main guest entrance rather than a service entrance when arranging pickup.

For an airport departure, book the pickup time at your accommodation, not your flight's departure time. Add the address and access instructions for the driver.

Add suitcases and child seats when booking. Mention golf clubs, pushchairs or bulky luggage in the notes so we can check that they fit your chosen vehicle.

Los Monteros is the stretch of Marbella you reach first when you come from Málaga Airport: east of the town centre, between the coast road and a long sandy beach, with Río Real and its golf course just behind. It has been a residential address for decades, and it shows: mature gardens, villas set back behind hedges and low-rise beach complexes rather than towers.

Most people landing for Los Monteros are coming home or coming back: owners who spend part of the year here, families renting a villa near the beach, and golfers staying close to the courses on the Río Real side. It is quiet, green and a short drive from the centre without being in it.

The practical point is simple: the coast road splits the area in two. Beach side and hillside are reached by different turnings, and knowing which side your house is on saves a loop back along the dual carriageway.

Where we drop you in Los Monteros

Los Monteros beach side
Villas and low-rise complexes between the coast road and the sea, along the beach of the same name. Lanes are narrow and private, so the name of the development gets the car to the right gate.
Los Monteros hillside
Across the coast road, climbing gently inland. Larger plots, many behind a barrier. Give the gate or entrance you use, especially when arriving at night.
Río Real
The river valley and the golf course between Los Monteros and the town, lined with villas and apartment complexes. Internal roads wind around the fairways and are rarely signposted from outside.
Bahía de Marbella and the beach towards the centre
The coast between Río Real and the eastern edge of the town, with beach complexes and the seafront path. The car reaches the street behind the beach, not the sand.
Towards Las Chapas
East of Los Monteros the villas continue along the coast road towards Las Chapas and Elviria. If you are unsure which area your address falls in, the name of the urbanisation settles it.

From Málaga Airport to Los Monteros

Wherever your plane parks, you come out through the same arrivals hall on the ground floor of Terminal 3. Your driver waits there with a sign bearing your name, and messages you when he sets off once you tap “I have landed” in your booking.

The road west passes Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola before reaching Marbella's eastern side. Two roads run in parallel: the free A-7 along the coast and the AP-7 toll motorway further inland. Because Los Monteros is on the near side of Marbella, the toll road saves less here than it does for Puerto Banús or Estepona.

The driver chooses on the day depending on traffic, and the price agreed when you booked is the same whichever road he takes.

Worth knowing before you travel

  • Say which side of the road you are on

Beach side or hillside makes a real difference: turning back on the coast road means driving on to the next junction. One line in the booking avoids it.

  • Child seats are free, but booked in advance

Add them when you book with the children's ages, so the job goes to a driver who carries the right ones. They cost nothing extra.

  • Golf bags count as luggage

With courses on the doorstep, many arrivals bring clubs. A golf bag takes the space of a large suitcase, so include it in the count when you book.

  • Private lanes and gatehouses

Many developments here have a barrier or a porter. Put the development name, the villa or block number and a mobile that will be on when you land.

Questions people ask

Is the price per person or per car?

Per car. The price you see covers the whole vehicle, your luggage and any tolls.

Can I cancel?

Yes, from the link to your booking: free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up. We refund the amount to the same card. With less time there is no refund. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or don't show up, the deposit is not refunded and the rest of the fare is charged to the card you booked with.

Do you have child seats?

Yes. Add them when you book and we assign a driver who carries them, at no extra cost.

Is Los Monteros the same destination as Marbella?

It is part of the municipality of Marbella, east of the centre, and it has its own page because the drop-off points are different. If your address is in Los Monteros, Río Real or the beach next to them, book Los Monteros.

Can the driver take us right to the villa inside a gated development?

Usually yes, as long as the gatehouse lets the car through. Tell us the development and the entrance when you book; if access is restricted, the driver stops at the gate and helps you with the luggage.

We play golf at Río Real. Can you take us there from the villa as well?

Yes. Golf transfers between your accommodation and the courses are booked separately from the airport transfer, from our golf page.
