Private day trips
From the Costa del Sol you can reach some of the most beautiful places in Andalusia in a day, but a hire car doesn't always make it easy: mountain roads, impossible parking in old town centres and the tiring drive back at sunset. On a private day trip the driver deals with all of that and you just enjoy it.
The most requested: Ronda, with its Puente Nuevo over the gorge and the white villages of the Serranía; Granada and the Alhambra; Seville, with its cathedral, the Alcázar and the Santa Cruz quarter; Gibraltar, with the Rock and Main Street; Nerja and Frigiliana, with the Balcón de Europa and the caves; and Mijas Pueblo, just up from the coast. We can also combine two nearby places in one day.
Your driver takes you, waits for you, suggests where to stop and collects you wherever you say. They are not an official guide: if you want a guided visit of the Alhambra, Seville cathedral or another monument, we'll tell you how to book one and drop you at the door on time. Alhambra tickets sell out weeks in advance, so it's worth buying them before you book the trip.

Frequently asked questions
Does the driver act as a guide?
Your driver knows the area well and will recommend where to stop, but is not an official guide. If you want a guided visit, it is booked separately with an accredited guide and we drop you at the meeting point.
Are Alhambra tickets included?
No. Tickets are bought on the official website and sell out early, especially in spring and autumn. Buy them first and book the trip around your entry time.
How do we cross into Gibraltar?
You need a valid passport or ID card. Usually the driver drops you by the border at La Línea, you walk across, which is the quickest way, and they collect you there on your way back.
Can we combine two places in one day?
Yes, if they are close: Nerja and Frigiliana, or Ronda with a white village on the way. Granada and Seville are better on separate days because of the distance.
How long does a day trip take?
It depends on the destination and on you. Mijas or Nerja fit into half a day; Granada or Seville are a full day. We'll tell you when we quote.
